looks like we are still keeping tabs on 2012 guys. @therecruitscoop UMKC reached out to 2012 Robinson School guard Chase Fluellen. Florida A&M, Savannah St, North Florida & Radford are also involved. twitter.com/#!/TheRecruitScoop/status/161263922136092672

wow that play at :30......beast. I hope he signs!!! Check out the opponents bench reaction to that play. It's all they can do to keep from high-fiving each other. Reminds me a little bit of that night back in 1985 when Larry Bird scored 60 on the Atlanta Hawks and toward the end of the game their bench was high-fiving and whipping towels whenever he scored.

Wells has been listed on ESPN as one of our signees for a while now. YaYa Anderson, Lucas Dyer, Juwan Wells, and Rashun Davis round out the 2012 class. It is curious though seeing as our only scholarship graduate that I know of is Johnathan Edwards....As far as I knew, Chance and Daniel weren't receiving anything. So, I'm curious as to how many scholarships we had to give vs. players that may or may not be leaving the program.

yeah ESPN has Wells as a verbal, the others as signed. to the best of my knowledge, theres a 13 scholarship limit, we have 11 scholarships on the roster right now......1 outgoing (edwards) which leaves 3 spots. We have 3 signed and 1 verbal which means we are over the scholly limit which likely means someone on the current roster w/ a scholarship isnt getting theirs renewed or someone is leaving early or transferring.
i guess the early candidates would have to be winegarner who doesnt get much burn, darden with his grades issues, and if tolga is on track to graduate early I could see him leaving early.

Yes, this is a bit confusing. Would this also mean that Amdy Fall is definitely out too? That would be a shame, he had lots of potential.
It's an amazing signing class though.
When is the next signing period? I imagine that's when we'll find out if Wells is a definite.

I think if we lose Winegarner for Wells, it should be considered a major upgrade! Tolga I think has the potential to improve drastrically next year if he stays. While his play has been extremely inconsistent, he's shown flashes of potential. The High Point game was a good example of what he's capable of.

I'd love to see Tolga as a 10-15 minute a night guy. Think he'd be a lot better with more limited minutes and not having to be the man down low. The biggest problem with this years squad is lack of overall depth. How many games have we had a half time lead or been in the game the whole way only to not pull it out at the end. This is due to a lack of depth. If we had more guys who we could count on consistently our record would be a whole heck of a lot different. I think Coach Jones has stepped right in and identified the types of players to help the program get back to the top of the Big South. Could you imagine this years team with these recruits in the mix? It sucks to go through these growing pains but the future is very bright for RU Hoops!

I'd be very happy if this time next year, Tolga and Wells are rotatating in and out and splitting the minutes 20-20. From the film I've seen, Wells looks to be the better player so, that number might fall in his favor a bit. 25-15 like you were saying, but I think to open the season, the minutes may favor Tolga a little bit and it will be his job to keep or lose.

Actually I expect Dyer to step in right away and contribute as a big man as well!
