Well, better this happens tonight than in the BSC tournament. I've seen us come out flat footed too often this year though, it's very disappointing.

I want to grade this one while I'm still pissed off.
STARTERS
AMIR JOHNSON GRADE 2 - 3 turnovers, got worked on defense all night, fouled out, and wasn't able to bring the ball up the floor.
BLAKE SMITH GRADE 3 - 3 for 10 from the floor. If you want to hike up 10 shots hit more of them....especially when you are wide open.
LAZ TRIFUNOVIC GRADE 4 - Missed layups that I could make (and I'm not good). Was key in getting the ball up the floor with only 1 turnover.
JOEY LYNCH-FLOHR GRADE 5 - 7 boards, 19 points. He should have been able to do more in the second half.
ART PARAKHOUSKI GRADE 4 - He got his points and boards but here is what I don't like...0 assists, 5 turnovers.
BENCH
EVAN FAULKNER GRADE 4 - burned on screens...3 for 9, 0 assists. At this point he's a good guard but will not be able to handle the point next year.
PHILLIP MARTIN GRADE 1 - I mean seriously...
J-ROB GRADE 4 - Not really enough time to make an impact.....no turnovers and got the ball up the floor, drawing a foul.
SONMEZ GRADE N/A

I went out tonight. Just checked the score. Someone care to tell me how the hell we lost to High Point? WTF?

They got it by wanting it a whole lot more than we did. They fouled a lot and played with passion and intensity and had a lot of shots fall.

Our guard play needs to improve a TON. We are consistently dominating teams inside, but consistently getting dominated on the perimeter. Basically we have little balance, and need to figure something out. If a team is shooting the ball well in a given night (W&M, High Point) there is a good chance we take an L. I think we are really seeing how much Kenny Thomas balanced out last years team. Hopefully we focus on getting our guards to contribute more in the coming weeks. If we can figure this out we can still run the remaining slate in the BSC regular season, if not we are vulnerable.

Guard play for sure....I will say this...even when we were scoring with ease the offense didn't look right...not a lot of ball movement and High Point was everywhere swarming to the ball.
