BINGO... He's going to get a ton of exposure this summer (Boo Williams) & of course next year.. we have the possibility of losing him if he blow's up as he's a bigger player than the Big South from everything I've hear d& read- otherwise it should help us out with recruiting- perhaps with his teammate visiting Radford this weekend.. time will tell & I'm not one to count chickens just yet..

He won't.. a billion guards that can dribble but none that can shoot.. I'm thinking that teammates wins out.. again time will tell but if you can't keep folks from packing that zone in.. why would a big man go there??

A. Are you basing this on one year of poor shooting? Showing some ignorance on this one. B. Why would a big man want to go to Radford? Hmm, just developed the first NBA draftee at Abele's position. Thanks for the info on Horsby, but maybe you should have stopped there.

Losing recruits and current players now?
Boy this is going to be a very quick ride to the bottom for RU....but that doesn't come as a surprise.
The WU dynasty rolls on.

so, anyways, back on topic Kaliff Wright | PF Hometown Oak Hill, WV High School Oak Hill High School Height 6'5" Weight 190 lbs. wvgazette.com/Sports/201003171028"...Not only is Flournoy returning, but 6-6 Kalif Wright, who had Radford watching him Wednesday, as well as, well, the team's top six players...." www.ohshoops.com/2009/08/west-virginia-wildcats-making-splash.html"Kalif Wright, a 6-foot-6 talent from Oak Hill (WV), is low major prospect at this point with good bounce. He is a three-man drawing interest from the likes of Radford." insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=80937&season=2011February, 2009: Wright will hit the boards, especially on the offensive end with a good amount of effort. He has trouble finishing in traffic with contact and with a little more physical toughness he could become a very solid post player. He will also hit the perimeter jump shot with range out to about the 15-feet area consistently. Wright has solid, but not elite athleticism and does a good job of changing ends in transition. He also has a good body and has the capacity to become stronger over the next couple of years. With more strength and if he grows a couple of inches, Wright could become a very solid post prospect for a low-major program.

I certainly did not nail that one- but from what I hear from those that know.. Good luck- this works out better for us actually so we can press 2 other recruits hard & use the Horsnby leverage.. I'm not sure you guys know specifically what you're getting with Abele either...
Hopefully for RU's sake he will make some changes, if he does- THEN I will eat crow.. if not, remember this post..
Does Abele know that Laz is leaving yet? Remember he still has to sign papers in 3-4 weeks- I think he's solid in that though so don't get me wrong- just curious is all..

Laz leaving will get Abele more touches IMO, Laz commits too many turnovers and tries to do too much at times. Im interested in seeing what our new PG stud Jereal Smith brings to the table! Geat steal by UNCA though gonna be a competitive few years in the Big South!!

www.courier-journal.com/article/20100410/SPORTS05/4100362/-1/GO4_SECTIONINITIALIZE/TIMMY+KNIPP++Elliott+County/ForwardTIMMY KNIPP, Elliott County/Forward APRIL 10, 2010 The lone starter back from the Lions'team that had won three straight 16th Region titles, many wondered how Knipp would respond to losing a high-profile senior class that included All-State players Ethan Faulkner, Evan Faulkner and Jonathan Ferguson. But he did just fine. The 6-foot-7 junior led the state in scoring at 31.1 points a game and helped the Lions (20-8) to a semifinal spot in the 16th Region Tournament. “Timmy was a steady performer over the past three years and was a big reason in the three straight state tournament appearances, but this year he started to really come into his own,” coach Greg Adkins said. Knipp also averaged 8.5 rebounds, 4.5 blocked shots, 4.2 assists and 2.2 steals a game. He's totaled 1,873 points during his career. “He put up incredible numbers all season and worked hard to make his teammates around him better,” Adkins said. “If he works as hard this offseason as he did the last, then the sky is truly the limit for him.” Knipp was the top vote-getter among the juniors and will be one of the leading contenders for Mr. Basketball next season. He's getting looks from a bevy of mid-major schools, including Akron and Radford.
