Hey all. Just a reminder that our blue chip recruit (Martins Abele) will be on ESPNU at 6:00, where Oak Hill Academy plays in a big time tournament. Again, Oak Hill plays at 6:00. My TiVo's set to record!

Abele was strong on D, changing a lot of shots...one dude pretty much bounced off of him on his way to an air ball. He's limited in terms of being an athlete and can get a lot stronger by dedicating himself to the gym. He had 2 points on a nice catch and layup. Missed a dunk in the 2nd quarter where he got bumped on going up. He's got a lot of work to do offensively but I could see him being able to play solid d from day 1. PS. Both teams were LOADED with D-1 rosters.

Thanks knvb141. I actually got to see the game this AM through the magic of DVR.
Martins is a great recruit for us. He didn't score alot of points, but that isn't his role on the highly athletic Oak Hill team. I have a feeling his role will be different at Radford. A 7'1" Center or PF will do well in our league. I expect him to contribute immediately.

I hope we weren't recruiting him hard. I just dont understand.. if I was being recruited and I had a choice between Radford and High Point, wouldn't the logical choice be Radford.. Recently, we've had more first team all BS, COY, POY, NCAA tourny, etc. I really hope we lighten up on recruiting him.
