I don't see a lot of head coaches on the list....glad to see Brad is one of them grinding on the road!

He's from Kentucky alright....I really feel like one of our incoming freshmen end up starting by the time conference play will roll around...if they are are as good as they are rated they simply have too much talent not to.

i see next years starting lineup as amir, mcworld, laz, joey, and big art....i feel like all of those guys will be solid next year...i see faulkner getting the most burn out of the freshmen, but i dont think hell start over amir.

seems like espn's recruiting grades really like our class for next year. hagins or gorkem would really give us an even more of a boost.

I was figuring Faulkner at SG w/ Mcworld providing his usual spark off the bench....with our bigs we are going to need to knock down open three's which isn't Mcworld's best atribute. We'll have several sharp shooters coming in next year to keep defenses honest.

disclaimer: this guy is not on Radford's radar and I don't know if we've checked him out yet, but if we have a scholly available he may be a good fit ... athletic and has hops ... good scorer/tough kid. nevertheless a pretty good read about a pretty big time prospect who isn't getting much pub.

Ok, heres a new one, Odell Turner....from reading around ive seen this guys height range from 6-5 to 6-8....he looks lanky and frail, but so are most high school players ha. This year hes averaged 17.5 points, 8.8 rebounds and 2.2 blocks. im not sure how much interest weve shown this guy, or if weve offered or anything. scouthoops.scout.com/a.z?s=75&p=8&c=1&nid=3732143insider.espn.go.com/ncb/recruiting/tracker/player?recruitId=77391&season=2009&action=login&appRedirect=http%3a%2f%2finsider.espn.go.com%2fncb%2frecruiting%2ftracker%2fplayer%3frecruitId%3d77391%26season%3d2009rated a 78 by espn www.chick-fil-aclassic.com/team_detail.shtmlSPOTLIGHT PLAYER Odell Turner Odell is a 6’5 senior forward who averaged 21 points, 12 rebounds and 2 blocks per game during the 2007-2008 basketball season. wow, i heard about this game from a friend, but i didnt realize our boy Blake Smith was apart of it. His squad, United Faith, faced John Wall (the #1 recruit in the nation by a lot of services) and his team in the state championship game. Also Muggsy Bouges is one of Blake's coaches which is pretty cool. www.charlotteobserver.com/preps/story/569548.html40 foot buzzer-beater? 'That's my range'By Langston Wertz Jr. lwertz@charlotteobserver.com Posted: Sunday, Mar. 01, 2009 United Faith’s Ian Miller hit the shot of his life Saturday night in the N.C. Independent Schools’ boys 1A championship game. I think it’s the first of many. Miller, a 6-foot-2 junior guard, made a 40-foot jump shot at the buzzer to beat Raleigh’s Word of God 56-53 and deny the Holy Rams and All-American John Wall a third straight state title. It came at the end of a furiously athletic game that had more highlights than your typical ESPN Top 10. It ended this way: Falcons senior Blake Smith hit a 3-point tying shot from the corner with 14.3 seconds left. Wall dribbled off his foot trying to take a championship-winning attempt. That left 2.7 seconds and a half-court out of bounds play for United Faith. Falcons coach Shaun Wiseman called time and drew up a play called "Spartanburg." Wiseman could barely tell his players what he wanted because, right behind the bench, team chaplain Louie Sorentino kept yelling “Destiny! This is our destiny!” "He kept saying it," Wiseman said, "and our kids starting believing it." Smith took the in-bounds pass, but he hesitated and took a dribble. Everybody in the gym knew United Faith would try to get the ball to Miller who scored 80 points in three tournament games. But when Smith paused and the clock slid towards zero, Word of God’s players hesitated, too. Smith pitched the ball to a wide open Miller who was lined up straight away from the goal, out just past the volleyball line. "That’s my range," Miller said. “Anywhere I catch it, I feel comfortable.” Miller shot the ball. Before it hit the nets, he started running sideways, celebrating like when Michael Jordan beat Cleveland. Like Sorentino said, it was destiny after all. It was also sweet redemption for Miller who had four shots spectacularly blocked by Wall, but kept coming back for a game-high 23 points, four rebounds and two steals. "Ian’s the total package," said United Faith assistant Muggsy Bogues, who knows a little something about guard play. "Take nothing away from (Wall). But with his skill level and his composure and the way he can hit key shots at critical times, Ian’s just up there with some of the best I’ve ever seen at this level. I’ve just not seen anybody who can do what he does – and that’s just not me being on his team, that’s being real." hmmm not sure if that shot should have counted haha, heres the video clip of Blake's game winning assist.

hahahahahhaha ZIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIPPY chance that should have counted and I would have loved to see our boy taking the shot but it's awesome he hit the tieing bucket. Man....if a couple of these guards can come in and play well as freshman we are going to have one sick squad next year
