I am very excited about our recruiting class...If the guards can come in and contribute next year to give our bigs the help they desperately need we could be very very dangerous.

thinking about next year, Amir as a SR, Bleek with more experience, Joey and Art... Lazar, who's supposed to be pretty awesome. That's maybe one player stepping up and a couple freshman contributing

plus mceachin whos starting to contribute, next years team should be nice heres some more praise for tommy spagnolo.... bleacherreport.com/articles/97343-scouting-the-frank-more-from-the-frank-spencer-high-school-tournamentScouting the Frank: More From the Frank Spencer High School Tournament James Blackburn was able to scout some games at the Frank Spencer Classic, and provided the following scouting notes for the match up between North Forsyth and Ashe County. Ashe features Tommy Spagnolo (PF/C, 6′7″, 2009), a Radford commit who had an excellent game: Ashe vs. North Forsyth Scouting Notes No. 4 seed Ashe County defeated North Forsyth in the quarterfinal game tonight 59-56. Ashe controlled the game from the start weaving, through North’s defense and press for layups and open shots. There were several players who stood out for both teams. Tommy Spagnolo (PF/C, 6′7″, 2009) scored 19 points, grabbed 21 rebounds, and blocked 5 shots while controlling the middle for Ashe. Tommy is a strong/physical force that plays good D, contesting every shot, and rebounds exceptionally well on both ends of the court, boxing out on every shot. He is a great shot blocker, blocking shots from the weak side as well as his own mans shot. He hustles and runs the floor. He has a consistent jumper with a range of 18 feet. He is unguardable within four feet of the basket, using size and good post moves to score. He has good feet and hands and passes well out of double and triple teams which he often attracts. _______________________________ man, tommy could be a problem for the big south once he adds some pounds and gets some pointers from JLF and Big Art

And I remember a comment from Coach G saying that they don't think he is done growing... Yeah I believe that's true. It sounds like Evan Faulkner/Tommy Spagnolo are the real deal. Another solid recruiting job by Coach G. P.S. WOULD STILL LOVE JAMELLE HAGINS!!!

so Evan Fualkner's team is the #1 team in the state of Kentucky, thats pretty huge. especially since they are in one of the smaller divisions and they are still ranked ahead of the much bigger schools. I cant wait till this kid suits up for us.
Wiliam Fleming's showdown w/ Oak Hill is coming up next saturday, it will be interesting to see how Jamelle Hagins handles playing against the best of the best.

heres some Tommy Spagnolo clips......this kid loves to goto the hole strong....it looks like he doesnt have to worry about anybody out jumping him since hes bigger than everyone else, so hes just throwing it down on everybody haha. also in the 2nd clip he shows some range hitting some jumpers including some 3's.

Just read this whole thread, great info here. Sounds like RU made the right decision a few years ago to hire Brad Greenberg as their coach. He knows his way around the recruiting circuit.
KEEP IT UP RU!

no clue, im going to assume we have atleast 1 more left......
lets break it down...we get 13 scholarships, with mcduffy, mcfarlin, and gynes gone, we now have 12 players on the roster....4 incoming freshman, w/ 3 outgoing seniors leaves us w/ 13 players on the roster. daniel mitchell is a walk on, so thats atleast 1 free scholarship, i have no clue if cole wilder is still walk on status or if hes earned a scholarship, so that could be up to 2 scholarships.
im tempted to just hit daniel mitchell or cole wilder up on facebook and ask haha.
