That was a good article, Day was before my time but definitely one of the great Highlanders, if not the best. Quite an accomplished career that got himself in the all time NCAA record books.
It was great seeing him recognized at the game, it was probably the best part of the night from the Highlander perspective. The crowd gave him a nice ovation and he really seemed to appreciate it. The Dedmon Center is a really special place when it is packed like that, the colors and noise are amazing. Too bad the students dont see that and show up every game like that. If we had come back in that game it woulda been wild. Should have never dug ourselves in the hole out of the gate and we would have been fine.

I was watching from the bleachers the night he set the record. It was cool, they stopped the game and camera guys from the Roanoke stations ran out onto the court to record his reaction. ESPN bought the footage and showed it on Sportscenter that night. Only crappy thing was we lost the game, to Campbell I think it was.
