This would be another nice win for you guys. If WHF can keep his cool you guys could be real players in the Big South race.

Radford 73 High Point 47 ...i didn't expect this. WHF was 2-for-10 last I checked...that just goes to show how much the rest of the team has improved in its ability to step up when the star guard is having an off night. Hopefully Samuels will sit the regulars and let some of the young bucks play.

Dan RossLine: 23 pts, 6 rebs, 7-14 from 3pt Quote (via Roanoke Times): "I don't think I had a contested shot in the first half," Ross said. "They were playing that jump trap and every time they doubled Whit [Holcomb-Faye] or Andre [Bynum] that left me wide open. I liked that." Chris OliverLine: 25 pts, 9 rebs, 5 stls, 2 blks, (scored 21 pts in 2nd half) Quote (via Roanoke Times): "I think we D'ed up and beat them at their own game," Oliver said. Whit Holcomb-FayeLine: 14 pts, 6 rebs on a 3-12 night of shooting NotablesKenny Thomas: 10 pts, 4 rebs in just 8 minutes Andre Bynum: 6 pts, 9 assts, 3 stls Duane Ricks: 4 pts, 5 rebs, 3 blks Coach Samuels Quotes...“I thought our guys played very well. I’m very, very pleased, we gave maximum effort tonight.” ...“Kenny Thomas, Duane Ricks and Eric Hall all made tremendous contributions off the bench." NotesWe held them to 39.1 FG, 28.6 3pt FG. We were 51 FG% for the game, 41 from 3 point land ... The big story was the 17 HPU turnovers (12 RU steals, 8 RU blocks) and just 9 RU turnovers ... We went up by as much as 29 before HPU made a come back ... Per Roanoke Times: "So far this basketball season, nobody has poured the points on the Panthers like Radford did Wednesday night at the Dedmon Center -- not Kentucky, not Utah, not Holy Cross. The Highlanders turned this Big South Conference game into a rout, winning 96-76."
