just talked to my buddy at work who is from the same town as amir. I hear Amir is going to return to the line-up soon. Other guys on his team have been picking it up, but they do miss him.
This kid is supposed to be a stud. While it's great having Andre Bynum because he's a pass first PG, plays tough d, and has good ball handling skills...it'll be nice to have a scoring PG coming in next year.
My source is going to keep me updated on his progress.

amir's team lost the other day, but our future highlander was a stud as usual. if they had won they would've been a game away from the state championship.
we welcome him in with open arms.

word on this kid gets better and better.
As mentioned in another thread, some folks at Penn State really think Johnson could start in their backcourt this year.
I've also read comparisons of Johnson to Jameer Nelson. Quick feet and ability to handle. I've heard in different reports that he is a good shooter and others that he's not the best, but is the best at finding ways to score (see: WHIT HOLCOMB-FAYE).
From MiamiHawkTalk.com ... “He might be only 5-9 at the most, but he’s very strong,” said Quaker Valley coach Tom Demko. “Plus, he just plays under control offensively and defensively. As far as rebounding, it’s a lot about desire—and he has the desire.”
What a great signing by Samuels AND Jeff Maher (a Pittsburgh local who recruited Johnson).

rumor has it that he was offered a scholarship by georgetown but had already taken radford. he was definitely a steal for this university, and I love the fact that we can look forward to watching him over the next 4 years.

Wow, a scholarship from a top-notch Big East school ... Johnson continues to impress in my book.

Amir should definitely be in the hunt for Big South freshman of the year.

Amir should definitely be in the hunt for Big South freshman of the year. It's between him and Joshua Mack of CCU right now.

This guy's simply become a stud. His performance over the past week was remarkable. I think RU may have found its next big star. He's not far from putting up Holcomb-Faye-type numbers...
