Despite the loss, Liberty unveiled a lethal brother guard combo tonight. Sophomore John Caleb Sanders dropped 21 points. Pre-season all conference selection, Jesse Sanders had 8 points and 10 assists. David Minaya had 14 for the Flames and Atwan Burrus had 10. Don't be surprised if this team is playing spoiler down the stretch. The sanders combo more than accounts for their leading scorer transferring.

If JCS is their leading scorer they don't finish higher than 4th in the standings. Their stud recruit Baird put up a total 0 points and 0 rebounds although I'm told he did tie his shoes properly prior to warm ups.

They barely played Baird. They ran a 7 man rotation for most of the game. Their offense came alive in the second half, but they didn't have the bigs to score against or contain Texas A&M's bigs. Looks like when we play them, this could turn into a Smith's vs. Sanders' shoot out!

Baird not getting much run plays into the joke of highly recruited players wash out at liberty or transfer...its a typical Flamer team this year, if they are hot from the outside they win a decent amount of games.
