Rodney's post moves are really good. Let's get him!
Glenn Elrod looks good too. I like these recruits Mike Jones is going after.

according to this article we offered lavon long awhile ago saintjosephs.scout.com/2/1094864.htmlBaltimore forward has strong summer By Matt Gifford Hawk Hill Hardwood Posted Aug 11, 2011 | More Following a successful July with Maryland 3D, 2013 Baltimore forward Lavon Long is in the process of taking and scheduling several unofficial visits. Hawk Hill Hardwood spoke with Lavon Long’s Maryland 3D coach, Geoff Reed, on Tuesday about his summer and the state of his recruitment. "Lavon had a great summer for us,” Reed began. “He was our leading scorer, our leading rebounder, and really just our best player all of July.” Lavon plays his high school ball for renowned coach Pat Clatchey at Mount Saint Joseph in Baltimore. While Lavon played primarily down low for his high school, with Maryland 3D, he moved more to the wing. According to Reed, “Lavon is right around 6’5 or 6’6,” which makes him slightly undersized to play the post in college. Over the course of July, Lavon worked hard on his wing skills, and showed college coaches that he will be able to play the 3 in college. One of Lavon’s greatest assets, according to Reed, is his quickness. “He has a great, quick first step going to the basket,” Reed explained. Due to this quickness, defensively, he is able to guard perimeter players. His strength allows him to body up against taller post players as well. Despite the fact that Lavon is the only sure-fire Division 1 player on Maryland 3D, they were able to notch some impressive victories in 16U play during the spring and summer months. They defeated the NJ Playaz, Team NJABC, and Team Philly, while also giving New Heights NYC and Long Island Lightning tough games. Against Long Island Lightning, Lavon matched up against highly-regarded Kuran Iverson and, according to Reed, “definitely held his own.” The rising junior has collected his share of interest and offers with his strong summer play. Last week, Long took an unofficial visit to Towson, a school that he also holds an offer from. In addition to Towson, Long currently holds offers from VCU, Dayton, Radford, and Robert Morris. In addition to those offers, he also has drawn interest from James Madison, UMass, and George Washington. Another A10 school that watched Long play this summer is Saint Joseph’s. SJU assistant coach Dave Duda watched Lavon play in West Virginia, and now he has an unofficial visit to Hawk Hill planned. According to Geoff Reed, Lavon will be visiting Saint Joseph’s the week of August 22nd. On the trip north, Lavon and his mother will visit Saint Joseph’s as well as Delaware. The month of July is so critical for both high school players and college coaches alike. It is a month for players to showcase their skills, and show coaches how they have improved their game over the previous year. Lavon Long did just that in July, and the work paid off in the form of new offers and interest. With the summer travel season over, Long will take these unofficial visits an

Reed Dungan (6’ 1, PG, Hiram, 2013) – Possibly the biggest surprise player of the camp, Dungan had a very good offensive showing. Well rounded skill set; effective with penetration and knocked down outside jumper on consistent basis. Sees the floor well and is very good passer. Plays with a lot of confidence and energy. Definite player to watch in Class of 2013.

Shaka Smart was at the LC Bird v Thomas Dale game last night. I guess he was checking out Robert Johnson, who scored 21 points including 4 threes.

WOW!!! Troy Caupain dropped 41 points against a 6-1 team. His teammates Evan Orzolek had 29 points including 4 3's in a 16 points win.
Robert Johnson scored 25 points including two 3's.
I know we're not recruiting him, but Bradford Burgess's little brother dropped 39 in Benedictine's blowout win.

THAT'S IMPRESSIVE!!! He will be a great replacement for Blake if we can somehow land him! Speaking of the 2013-2014 season, are we only expecting to sign 1 recruit as of now? Blake looks to be our only scholarship junior at this point besides the walk on Devin Cole.

I think you're right about the 1 scholarship but I would assume you could factor in 1 transfer....just basing that off of odds and the state of college basketball.

Well, hopefully he buys into the sell of quality PT as a frosh. Although, it's gonna be hard to compete with a team that just knocked off for Kansas. I hope Jones makes an offer though. I like that he's going after big fish that we normally never would have entertained the idea of signing.
