Dedmon Center holds 3,200.. 2,175 made the game, but it's the Pep Band's fault now (with what 20+ musician's- if that???).. What are you guys smoking??
If you can't fill up the Dead-mon Center to full capacity in a game for 1st place- then why should you host the tourney.. Just sayin..

I think the point that was trying to be made was that it was an important game, thus the band should be there. It wasn't like we were playing UNCA for instance. PS. The Dedmon center was sold out for the BS Championship game last year which in case you forgot, we won. How many were at the ski lodge for when Winthrop beat you in your building? Capacity crowd? What is it these days? 7?

Guys -
Who committed the foul with .05 seconds left? I couldn't tell as I was busy screaming every obscenity I knew after Amir's 7th turnover.

That was exactly my point, knvb141. Thanks!
Also, Joey Lynch-Flohr committed the last foul, though I'd like to see that one again, too.

I was making a joke about your comment referring to the pep band.... simmer down there please. Lynch-Flohr did commit the foul... its hard to blame him for the loss though. The 1st half bush league play is what cost us the game imo.

The 1st half bush league play is what cost us the game imo. It's very rare to be able to blame one specific play. What doomed Radford was 19 turnovers, 27% from 3, and 52% from the ft line. The same problems we have had all year. Good news is there aren't many other freak ways to loose a game so maybe we have gotten it out of our system.

I'm not blaming JLF for the loss at all. In fact, I'd like to see the replay because it looked like he got all ball, but I'm watching from a computer stream so it's not nearly as clear as the ref would see.
Also, regarding the pep band comment, couldn't tell by your e-mail what the context was and I even prefaced that. The problem with these posts is that you just can't tell what the intent is sometimes. Anyways, enough about that.
Coastal had a great game plan and executed it sooo well. They used their athleticism to their advantage. This was one of the most devastating losses in recent memory. So much at stake...at home.

DAMN! DAMN! DAMN! ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!
Just had to get that out of my system. Alright, the game is behind us. Nothing we can do now. Need to focus on winning our remaining games and finishing the season strong. This tournament is up for grabs and we can win it. We are one of the best teams in the conference and have beaten the best team in the conference at their place already by double digits. No reason we cant win this thing. Just gotta keep our heads on straight and rebound from this loss. What we cant do is dwell on this loss and let it snowball into a 2 or 3 game losing streak.
LETS GO RU!!!

i caught the last 2 minutes of this one. such an awful way to lose but all is not lost. we've already beaten coastal at their place and i won't complain if we don't play csu. maybe we'll learn about playing tough in both halves.
