You heard him correctly, they need to stop sugar coating this crap. Our struggles from the line are going to cost us more games.
I was not able to watch the game but its apparent we still have NO answer for when teams double and triple our post players. The coaches have to come up with plays for Art and JLF. They should know if they dont have a shot that they have an outlet or a cutter and should know where that player will be. Its called running an offense and I hate to bash the team like this, but its obvious we arent running an offense.
No leadership, Piss poor pathetic free throw shooting, foul trouble, bad performance. That being said. We got the win, and thats all that matters.
UNCA is going to be very very tough.

I hate to sound so damn negative, so I got to say something positive. Blake had a great game! He is looking awesome and may well be our best 3pt shooter.

You're right, I hate that sugar coating crap. Throw some tough questions out there. What has happened to Art? Where's Evan? Why can you do to get them shooting free throws? What happened to get the "t"? What can you do to wipe off those facial expressions that get them in so much trouble with those redneck announcers?

Did I hear Rick correctly? He said RU played very well when they had to??? Wrong, Gardner Webb played really poorly when we needed them to. Guys, I agree we were far from our best but we were up double digits for a good part of this game on the road....we did enough to win and led for the entire game. The team need to learn from this on focus on winning @ UNCA.

We are in a funk and we have to fight our way out of it. We won't win many games playing this way.
BLAKE IS THE MAN, THOUGH.

Very huge win, in my books. It snaps the mini losing streak and gives some of our younger guys the confidence they need to know that they are essential to this team's success. Sure we are at our best when Big Art/JLF are the main focus on both ends, but when guys like Blake Smith (holy cow 23 points, 7 steals, 4 boards, 4 assists, 4 three pointers, 3 blocks) and Evan Faulkner contribute ... we're in good shape.
We should have some momentum heading into "The Ski Chalet" Saturday.

Just to keep my negative tone going I am going to piss and moan about the Roanoke Times again. You cant even find the score of the Radford game on their site this morning. They have a nice piece on the Liberty VMI game. But no mention of the only team in the area to go to the NCAA tournament last year. I wish I had access to gmail at work so I could email that guy back that said he was doing articles on some of Radford's players and on their two home games a week ago. In total they wrote about 4 paragraphs.
Alright, I think I am done complaining. GO RU! BEAT UNCA!
