Hoping I am not stepping on anyones toe's by starting this thread. I am bored at work and decided to put it together.
Previous meeting between these two teams was a 30pt blow out by RU. 75-45. That game was at RU, this one is at GW. GW is fresh off a over time win over Big South juggernaut Presbyterian.
GW is going to do the same thing that every other team does. Jam the lane with defenders and dare RU's sharp shooters (if you can call them sharp shooters) to beat them.
I mentioned in the last game thread that we need someone (Blake or Amir) to start getting open looks and cutting to the rim when the D collapses on Big Art, JLF, or Laz. In all honesty, I think Laz could be the one to cut to the rim and get easy lay ups. Assuming the D is collapsing on JLF or Big Art. Our big men also have to do a better job of passing out of double and triple teams and finding the open man cutting to the rim. Not just forcing up bad shots and getting fouled (then missing foul shots).
We need a win in the worst way. I will take a 1 pt victory, but I would prefer another 30 pt blow out.

Glad you started the thread I've been swamped with work and some social commitments and haven't been able to keep up w/ the board.
We have got to get our guards to take some pressure off of the inside, that being said our bigs didn't have strong games on Monday night....

Yes, agree and agree. I thought our guard play showed some improvement Monday night, at least as far as hitting three pointers. Let's continue our backcourt improvement and see our frontcourt play to full potential, and most importantly let's see this team GEL in the second half of the season so that the BSC tournament can take place in the Terrordome!
Actually also for a second there when Amir hit that three to tie the game up monday night I thought I saw a glimmer of the, and I don't know if I should even say this, Never-Say-Dielanders!
