Binghamton running to the NCAA tournament last year had me wondering whether Laz might have some regrets for having transferring to RU. He still got to go to the tournament, and was all smiles on the sideline, looking every bit the great team player, but he he missed out on playing in it, which would not have happened had he had stayed at Binghamton. I thought some more about this when Rivals rated Binghamton 20-something teams in front of us on their 347 team countdown. Now, with the two players that made that team good being kicked off, and the general mess that it looks like that team was, his decision is looking brilliant. The fact that he made such a great choice seems very admirable and it looks even more like we've made a fantastic addition to our team.

I think Laz is pretty happy to be here (or at least from what I hear).

hmmm looks like theres a rumor about Ali Ton being a possible candidate for the Binghamton job.....If Ali goes, I wonder if Gorkem & Tolga will follow www.davidsoncats.com/viewtopic.php?t=10573&sid=fa9e360ff00972a76d04b1a7b11c061bFrom College Basketball rumors on Insider, concerning Binghamton coaching situation: "Although the school probably will not fire Broadus (or allow him to resign) due to the close proximity to the 2010 season, names of possible replacements are already swirling. One early candidate could be Radford assistant Ali Ton. A former Binghamton assistant, Ton is known as a talented recruiter of international players, recruiting 2009 Big South Player of the Year Artsiom Parakhouski."

I doubt this will be the last rumor we hear about Ton getting his own gig. Coach G made a great selection to bring him to RU and I certainly expect for Ton to have his own program in a couple of years. Is Binghampton the gig he wants? Who knows. It's not the situation I would want.
