this is the week where radford can really make their move in getting back to the top of the big south. it's just one game, but it's winthrop. Last year we just got outplayed at their place, then we lost by 10 at home without whit holcomb-faye.
two years ago we lost by 2 to them at their place in some very, very controversial calls (and we couldn't close out the win in OT)...then we lost by 1 at our place.
ru is not intimidated when they face the eagles, it's just they can't get over the hump and beat them. let's hope this is the game where they finally do.

Sorry fresh, but Winthrop's depth will be too much for the Highlanders this year...

It will take an absolute perfect game for RU to put up those numbers. It will be a surprise if RU gets two players in double figures, much less 4----WU has one of the top defenses in the nation.

perfect is a stretch shakes, but no doubt RU will have to play well
...i'll be at the game which is worth a 5 point swing alone

Maybe I saw something else the other night, but Dan Ross is slow and can only make a wide open shot. I don't like your chances against Winthrop seeing that they had a good chance to beat Memphis over the weekend. Martin will not go 0-9 again.

yeah ross doesn't have that much speed, but with having andre bynum back we'll have the ability to move the ball around. ross isn't like goodin where he needs to be open to hit a 3. Ross is a bit quicker and to me seems like his shot is falling more than goodin's did. You make a good point that Memphis is very athletic (probably the most athletic team in the country), so Winthrop should be ready for us. I see a close one, with the Highs pulling out the win.

Oh stop, WU by 25. I think they may lose once in the BS this year but nobody else gets within 15

I hate to agree w/ WEF or SHAKE on anything- but thats a solid team over there. Good luck to you guys with this one.
* on a positive note- better competition raises the BSOUTH profile, so thats a good thing

hmmm, I think they'll blow out asheville tonight, simply b/c Asheville has been turning the ball over a ton without Garland, and WU forces tons of turnovers. I'll say WU by 23.
Saturday will be closer. WU never shoots well in that weird lighted dome. I think the defense will play well enough to win by 10-14.

I'm pretty good at predicting WU games and haven't gotten a conference game wrong except VMI-HPU this year. I said WU by 14, won by 15.
