I wonder why ESPN hasn't updated RJ Price as a verbal to Radford...it took them about 30 seconds for Knipp.

To temper my disappointment, I've convinced myself that Timmy just wanted to stay close to home.

ESPN is blocked at my work. What's RJ Price's rating and summary on him? And what was Knipps? Thanks RJ's Rating- 84 January, 2009: Price is a young guard that looks to score in transition as well as in the half court. He is very aggressive and has good size and strength for his age. He has a nice pull up jumper that he likes to shoot mostly going to his left and he has the ability to rebound and push the ball and take it coast to coast. He can knock down feet set threes and will attack any defender if he sees an opening. One to watch with great upside. Knipp's Rating- 83 March, 2009: Knipp is a long and lean athlete that will need to add strength but his skill is very good. He can shoot the deep three off the catch with time and space and he likes to attack the rim along the baseline where he displays good touch and body control. Knipp will also post smaller defenders and when forced off the lane he can face up and knock down the mid range jumper. Knipp is also a good defensive rebounder and is a good enough ball hander to go coast to coast. He also uses his length to block shots. Knipp has good timing on the ball and often changes the shots of smaller perimeter players when he does not get the clean block. Knipp is very smooth on the offensive end of the floor and has a bright future with steady improvement. December, 2008: Timmy is a slashing wing that has great length and has a good stroke from 3. He handles it well on the perimeter and will take you off the dribble. He is a clever lay-up shooter and is scrappy. He will score a lot playing in Elliot's system. Knipp uses his length to contest shots and gets into the passing lanes. He had 11 pts, 8 rebs, 4 blks in a wi

Pretty sure this hasn't been posted yet. knock off one of the local guys... www.roanoke.com/sports/highschool/wb/251971"Alexander had recruiting interest but no offers from Wofford, Radford and VMI. He said he likely would have taken the offer from Navy coach Billy Lange whenever it came."

basketballrecruiting.rivals.com/content.asp?CID=1125848Phoebus' Darden CommitsMatthew Hatfield VirginiaPreps.com Phoebus (Hampton, VA) 6-foot-1 guard Brian Darden from the Class of 2011 gave a verbal pledge to Coach Brad Greenberg and the Radford University Highlanders of the Big South Conference, where he will play his College Basketball after he spends his senior season with the defending Peninsula District regular season Champion Phantoms. This gives the Phantoms a pair of Division I players starting in the backcourt this season as fellow senior guard Breon Key recently committed to Old Dominion University. Darden, who chose the Highlanders over offers from East Carolina, Wagner, Liberty, Presbyterian and College of Charleston among a couple others, joins Atlee guard R.J. Price as two verbal commitments from the Class of 2011 for Radford. "I'm excited for Brian to be committed to Radford. I think Brian has found a home that he thinks he can win with, and on the education side, I believe he thought that was a great fit for him as far as his future," stated Phoebus Head Basketball Coach James Daniel, whose Phantoms went 25-3 overall and reached the Eastern Region Tournament semifinals last February. Phoebus' Brian Darden has given a verbal to Radford "He's really excited about Coach Greenberg, Coach Smith and the whole staff as well as the atmosphere at Radford. R.J. is going there also, so they should have a great combination, plus Radford has quite a few bigs. They feel like they can compete. In talking with Coach Greenberg, he really thought Brian was a missing piece in reference to them attaining another level of play with the elite teams in their league." A Second Team All-Eastern Region selection and All-Peninsula District First Team performer last winter, Darden averaged 13.3 points, three assists and 2.2 steals per game while connecting on nearly 80% of his free-throw attempts. That came after a sophomore season when he averaged 19.5 points per game, second most in the PD. Darden has also been the catalyst shooting from the outside for a Phoebus attack that led the region in three-pointers made in 2009-10 with 197. Darden's been confident from the very beginning, even when he started as a freshman and put up 10.6 points per game and followed that up as a sophomore with 19.5 points a contest, second most in the district. His junior year was nothing to sneeze at, averaging 13.3 points, three assists and 2.2 steals per game while leading the team in three-point shooting and making nearly 80% of his free-throw tries. "In talking with Coach Greenberg and Coach Smith, they feel they lack scoring in their backcourt and a sense of toughness. The unique thing about it is Brian brings both of those attributes to the table," added Daniel. "He can run the point, can score and he plays defense extremely well now. I think based on those attributes that he has and his strength, it's a really fine fit for both. I'm extremely proud of Brian, and he's really committed himself to the classroom to put himself in this position." Most recently, Radford plucked Chris McEachin from Norview High School before he transferred to Norfolk State University. Radford last reached the NCAA Tournament in 2009, finishing 21-11 overall and as Champs of the Big South. On a Phoebus team that is coming off its first district title since 1976-77 and has high aspirations and goals for the upcoming season, Darden's role will surely be significant. "For us this season and Brian, it's going to be about the little things. The leadership, setting an example, becoming more of a point at times when we need, and also helping the younger kids through as we have a couple of young guys being looked at by quite a few schools," says Daniel. "Brian is responsible to take them on his back and show them the way in reference to what we've attained here in the last several years. He's been the leader at guard for us in this program since he was a freshman."

so i assume our 2011 class is filled barring any transfers/dismissals.....nice to see 2 recruits from VA (both rated higher than hornsby, #justsayin . ill post some articles talking about Darden later....to sum them up though, he is a big time shooter w/ range, not scared to take a clutch shot, and shoots 80+% from the free throw line (thank god). heres the youtube clip of him from a couple pages back, www.youtube.com/watch?v=pyXrNay937Q&feature=related there might be some more clips of his phoebus team around side note, Andrew White of Thomas Dale has transferred to Miller School and reclassed to 2012
