I'm working today - and have been busy as hell (explaining the lack of posts) - so no normal preview, but I think we should win this game.
Presby is okay, but we really have to win road games if we want a top seed in the Big South Conference tourney. I really like the way we played against Wake. Yeah we had a lot of turnovers, but our guards are playing 35+ minutes. Of course they are going to wear down, we don't have much depth.
Big Art and Joey need to keep battling down low and get points, which will open up the 3-ball game.
My prediction: Radford 67 Presby 61

18-12 RU w/6:42, sloppy defensive game as expected. RU playing terrific defense (amir and mceachin have a couple steals, joey/art are posing threats down low) and joey is on point in scoring tonight.

big win tonight, and a big loss by liberty to winthrop. glad to see mceachin getting more minutes, at 6'5 it sounded like he was causing problems for the blue hose on the defensive end getting a couple of blocks and a steal. i wish austin would also get some more PT. did they say why mcduffy was out tonight?
i really think the wake game was a big confidence builder.

I love how the stat sheet looked (w/ exception of Big Art's turnovers of course, but it's usually not that bad, so we shouldn't sweat it). We almost pulled in as many offensive rebounds (12) as they did defensively (16). We dominated them on the boards overall as well (37-21), which led to a plethora of 2nd chance points. As I mentioned earlier, Amir and McEachin played very well together. I wonder if Coach Greenberg will alter the starting line-up and switch McEachin and Martin. But ever since being reinstated, McWorld has been providing a huge spark. At 6'5 he's the hybrid guard/forward, very athletic, can kill ya down low/outside. Reminds me a lot of Maryland's CliffTucker. He is only going to get better and better. Good to see our bigs continue to dominate. We've had a very tough schedule thus far (more difficult in recent years - the SOS is 100ish) and I think that has helped our big men. B/c in the Big South it's not often you find a pair of frontcourt players. Big Art and It's Joey's Flohr must keep out of foul trouble and continue to do what they have been. If we want to be a player in the Big South this season, we have to win games on the road. All champions win games on roads and it's good to see us get the first out of the way. Now if we keep the momentum and knock off Coastal on Monday, hell a 3-1 start, that's the right track.
