Brendan Bald is the younger brother of incoming UNC Wilmington freshman Brad Bald. Both brothers played for Severna Park High School in Maryland and for the Triple Threat AAU program.
Much like Brad, Brendan can play on the inside or the outside. Brendan however is not as tall as his brother, so he plays a different position. He is a skilled wing player who is very active on the court.
During this live period Brendan has played well and is really starting to pick up interest. CAA Insider recently received an update on his recruitment from Brendan’s Dad, Jeff Bald.
According to Jeff Bald, Brendan is receiving interest from; Old Dominion, Rider, Delaware, Towson, UNC Greensboro, Richmond, George Washington, Hartford, American, Quinnipiac, Charlotte, North Florida, Radford, East Carolina, Vermont, Tulane and Jacksonville.
A couple of offers have already rolled in for Brendan, and according to his AAU Coach Keith Stevens there are a couple more teams who are on the verge of offering.
Right now Brendan holds offers from Rider, North Florida, Vermont, Quinnipiac and Hartford. Stevens informed Brendan that American, Radford, Jacksonville and UNC Wilmington are going to offer.
If Brendan continues his strong play he should see his interest pick up even more. We will keep you updated on Brendan’s recruitment as it progresses.
