Duquesne is one of those teams who looks deceptively good. And they may be given they are 8-0. But they also haven't played anyone good yet. So, I think this is a very winnable game. Would sure be nice to grab an A-10 win and get back within a game of .500 in non conference play.

I went to the one last year at LeBron James Arena (High School) and the atmosphere was spectacular. I know it’s counter-intuitive to think of a high school venue as spectacular, but it’s as close as you’ll ever get to sitting on the bench with the team. I could hear coach jones (though not well) give instructions to the team. If any of you can make the game in Akron, I highly recommend it, And I think we can and should win. We have the talent. Just got to put it all together. As I know we will, before conference play starts . Maybe it all comes together tomorrow.

Other fun fact......Duquesne is 1 of 5 remaining undefeated teams left in the league. Including this game, we'll have played 2 of those teams when you add in our game against Liberty! Needless to say, this is turning into one of the toughest non conference schedules i've seen us play since the 2009/2010 team who had to play Duke, Kansas and Louisville all in the same season.

We played well under our potential. Biggest difference, I believe, was Duquene’s height superiority. Close 2nd was Duquene’s defensive pressure. We were out rebounded by a huge margin, and much of Duquene’s scoring (primarily 1st half) was with their interior play.. Eke wasn’t with the team. Djokem hurt his leg 1st half and didn’t return. Carliq’s driving in the lane and short shots were big time disrupted by Duquene’s bigs. Their bigs also altered several bunnies from our post men. We played a little passive, confused, and honestly a little unsure. But I can telll you we did show flashes of our potential, and if we can begin to play more consistently, this is as good of a Radford team as any Coach Jones has put on the court.. we are much, much better than the final score. Got to see Chyree Walker play his first minutes as a Highlander. Coach gave him valuable minutes, and appeared to want to put him in solid game situations with the other starters. Hard to tell from this game what to expect from Chyree, other than his minutes tell him he is currently figuring in coach’s mind for a significant role, I think. Here is a pic during a 2nd half timeout. Gym was about 70% of capacity at game time. About 30 Radford fans, about 700 Duquene fans, but I’m only guessing.
