Geez, is school in session? There aren't any kids there. Kidding me? Carlik Jones with a driving dunk? Ed Polite-esque. As Rick Watson pointed out, if the students were in the stands the Dedmon would have exploded after Carlik's dunk

Who cares about watching Indy vs. KC, on tv? Whoever wins is just going to get destroyed by Tom Brady next week. Go watch Carlik down the street, posterizing the world at 6'1"!!!!!!!!!!!!
Good half by the guys.

Well, we won. But there is no doubt: parity in the Big South. Probably 7 or more teams can win against any conference for any given night. This is going to be an interesting season.

For me, the question is: who are the bottom teams? The ones who you can beat confidently by 15+ any given night? Not sure those teams exist in the Big South this season

Another gritty win! First thought is, Wow! That dunk by Carlik was incredible! Second thought......Ed Polite showed up in this one! While he's consistently put up respectable numbers, it's been a while since he had that dominate game! Tonight was that night and it saved us. I think Presby put 4 in double figures so, they were able to hurt us in a variety of ways. That said, we gutted it out! Big game coming up vs. Gardner Webb on ESPN U. GWebb has victories over Wake Forest and Georgia Tech so, they've proved they can compete.
To me, the most interesting team in the conference is Winthrop. Through 3 conference games, they are winning by an average of 12 points a game. Granted, Chris Clemmons and Campbell kept it close, by Winthrop put up 90 to win that one. Dangerous team for sure.

Not sure those teams exist in the Big South this season I think Asheville may be that only team. They seem to be really down this year. I’m guessing Upstate is next up from the cellar but they aren’t a gimme. I would like to see us blow out some of these teams, but we are getting everybody’s best shot and at the end of the day we are 3-0. This is going to be a long conference season. Every game feels like a land mine. I do believe we are the team most likely to win it, but there’s a lot who could knock us off. Gotta be sharp every night

Gotta be sharp every night Yeah, Asheville is a train wreck this season. They'll beat somebody, but if they win more than 2 conference games, I'll be shocked. WU was down double-digits in the first half against them in Asheville (WU was without two starters though) and still came back to win by 15. I haven't really seen enough of Upstate yet, but they seem to at least be competitive in most of their losses. Even if you are a really good team compared to the rest of the league, you'll get tested, especially on the road....I think Winthrop and Radford are a step above the rest of the league (I think GWU is solid too, though they haven't come out of the gates well....and Hampton may prove to be there, though their non-conference performance was very underwhelming), but there are a lot of places where teams can trip up over the course of the season. 14-2 should be able to win the league outright.

It's funny that you say 14-2 should win outright. ESPN's by game projections have us favored in all but 1 game remaining on our schedule. On the road at Wintrhop. Which would put us at 15-1. So, realistically, we statistically have the talent to go 14-2.

Good half by the guys. I just checked the school calendar, students aren't back until the 22nd. It's not going to be a very good optic to see an empty Dedmon on national TV tomorrow.
