@ Presbyterian (0-1) @ Radford (0-2)Time: 7 pm Radio: 101.7 TV: LinkLive Stats: LinkListen online: LinkRU enters home play with an 0-2 record. In no way is this game a must win, but I'm sure new head coach Brad Greenberg and company would like to get that first win. Especially at home. Radford has been pretty tough at "The TerrorDome" over the years and under Greenberg, the trend will likely continue. The game will mark the Dedmon Center debut for Greenberg, junior Jamar Jenkins and freshmen Alex Gynes, Chris McEachin and Nick McFarlin. It will also mark the first time Radford has ever played Presbyterian. The Blue Hose will be joining the Big South Conference next season and these two squads will meet not once, but twice this season. They trailed 43-16 at halftime to Nebraska, but rallied back to make it a respectable 67-52. They are a very small team and from the looks of their only game played this season, they shoot a lot of 3-pointers. very close on the prediction. i watched the game online, they came out sluggish in the 1st half but they looked great in the 2nd half. i was definitely surprised by the turnout of the students!! hopefully both the team and the students keep it up for the game this weekend.

It's always nice to get your first win as a coach or a player at home in front of your crowd. Sounded like a rowdy atmosphere last night and a solid second half of shooting, coaching and work ethic. Guard play was fantastic last night, would like to see the low post get more points against GW this Saturday. === Coach's home debut a successBrad Greenberg gets his first win as Radford's coach as the Highlanders pull away.[/size] By Ray Cox 381-1672 RADFORD -- As the curtain rose on the Brad Greenberg basketball coaching era at Radford University, Dedmon Center customers had worked themselves into such a state that they were seeing red. "Dread the Red," proclaimed the slogan on hundreds of T-shirts Wednesday night as the new coach had his first home game as Highlanders coach. After the Highlanders worked over visiting Presbyterian on the way to a 68-54 victory, indications were that Radford might be more frightening to the opposition than previously believed. "We showed people that we're a serious basketball team," point guard Amir Johnson said. Although he remained businesslike throughout, there was no hiding that long-time basketball gypsy Greenberg was excited with his first head coaching victory. "It's a cool feeling," he said. "I don't have enough coachspeak in me to say that it wasn't." Read Full Story
