Let’s see how strongly we bounce back from a disappointing loss (JMU) and against a good team such as the Ohio University Bobcats. I’ll be in Athens today to witness. I see the ESPN game predictor has us as underdogs. We’ll prove them wrong today. Go Highlanders!

Is that you right behind the visitor's bench, Sharp?

Is that you right behind the visitor's bench, Sharp? Hammer, probably, sat directly behind Leroy Butts. My three kids to my left. Tried not to check my phone or this message board so I could legitimately soak it all in. Dante Washington sat directly behind me. He’s a solid guy and a definite Radford supporter, he’s never forgotten about Radford even though he’s a major celebrity here in Columbus bc of his days with the Columbus Crew soccer team. He’s always on TV here, kinda the go-to guy when the media needs a former player to interview, especially since this crew almost left town this year, but I digress. I’ll provide some thoughts on the game in a minute. I’m just getting home

Ok, it’s interestimg the difference in my perspective watching the game at Ohio University and then watching the replay. Live, our Highs appeared disorganized, had questionable shot selection, had trouble with Ohio’s Bigs, and were also the victim of touch files and home cooking officiating. They never could get their mojo and sustain it. When I watched the replay, we didn’t look so bad. I can’t explain why.
I think the Ohio game represents what we’re capable of any night our shots don’t fall and team chemistry is a little off. But the Notre Dame, Texas and W&M games also show how good we are when thinks click.
Someone on here (either BigDog or Dedmondeviant) said if we can get through our non-conference schedule with no more than 5 losses, that’s a success. I agree. Make no mistake, this IS a special team. But we do gave work to do, and our margin for error any given night is not as tenuous as years past, but it still remains significant.
