Coach did the right thing, players did the wrong thing. Period. Different ways to view this, including the fact the infractions from Fields and Jones were last Spring, so there’s been plenty of time for reflection and getting head straight for the upcoming season. Another way to look at it is two strikes for Travis, what was he thinking after getting a break by the court system in August? Holland- not enough info to tell what’s up with that. But Coach Jones said the suspensions (I think) don’t go beyond tomorrow night. Message sent by coach, players will respond the right way from this point forward because they are good students and young men, and Coach Jones has always had their attention and respect. Let’s move on after tomorrow night.

Unfortunate incident of college kids being college kids. They're in the wrong here and coach is doing the right thing. It's unfortunate, but unless there's a major meltdown, we can win this game without them. Actually, I kind of welcome this happening against a D-2. It's a chance to get some younger guys some minutes and experience what would happen if let's say Carlik were to get into foul trouble early....How do we respond? This will be a good learning experience for the entire team.

I was hoping to see a little more focus coming off the big year with so much coming back. But, they are just being college students. Cant make a habit of it. I don't like that Fields has gotten two charges, stay away from the booze and focus on bball. One can bring you so much and the other can take it all away.
