One great thing about being in first place in a low-major conference is that you get to see your school's name on Joe Lunardi's Bracketology matrix. It is way to early for any of this, but ESPN needs something to talk about constantly, and Joe Lunardi needs to make a living. We've been on there as a 15th seed ever since we took over first place, and have had four different putative matchups since then, as number 2 seeds rise and fall in their conference standings. First team was UVA, then Purdue, then Texas Tech, and now Kansas. I'm just glad he has us as a 15 seed. If we manage to win the BSC tournament, that would represent our highest ever seeding.

To keep that 15 seed we cant afford to lose many games from here on out. We are at 7 losses, I would say we need to stay under 10. I could be wrong on that, but not anymore than 10. We had some decent OOC wins, but no huge ones. The one plus is we don't have any real ugly losses OOC. Getting that 15 seed would give us a shot at pulling off a win. Long way to go but it is nice being at the top of the conference standings.

When Asheville got a 15 2 years ago, they were 12-6 in conference play and 22-12 overall. That said, strength of the other auto bids always makes a difference so, I wouldn't count on losing 10+ and getting a 15.

It is kind of pissing me off that all of a sudden we cant score more than 50 some points in a game. Since the last 10 minutes of the CSU game we cant score points. The defense is playing great, we won an OT game in the 50s says a lot about the defense but much desired on the other end. We rely too much on Polite. When he goes in single digits, that is most likely a loss. Randy Phillips is the only player picking up the slack. Carlik Jones has been solid all year but we need somebody else to step up. Bradford had 0 vs Campbell, Holland seems to have regressed after a good start, Tanner went 0-5 from field vs Campbell, Hicks hasn't had a double digit scoring game since being in double figures 4 of the first nine games. I know everybody has bad days but this is becoming a trend. No way we win the conf tournament by playing like this.

Wow, we lose a game at the buzzer and he has us as a 16 seed playing Duke. Can't say he's not paying attention!

To be fair, we weren't favorites in this one. Playing the Big South MVP in his house isn't easy. That said, we've gotta steal some of those conference games we aren't supposed to win on the road. Let's hope we can get one at High Point.

We wont win the tournament playing like this, but if we were to turn it around, losing these games will all but guarantee a 16 barring a lot of upsets in other conference tournaments. We need another scorer, probably somebody over 6'5 that's not named Polite, and I don't see that happening.

I see we’ve roared back from 13 down to lead 60-59 with under 5 to play. I’m going to *hope* this signals a turnaround from our recent inconsistant play. Hope we keep the foot on the gas.

Well I hate to have sounded negative, but this was a good win. Most of the second half was played a lot better. It just really seems at times watching our games is like playing a sports video game and u have one very good player and try to make them do everything. Holland got involved a bit, Randy is staying consistent and our guards really showed up. I think we still have a lot of things to fix if we want to be champions, but winning one at the Millis Center is never easy and High Point is a pretty good team. They have some big athletes. We have to be the definition of playing as a team to keep winning.

This was a good win, but I wish we were in a more consistent command of these games rather than these streaks we get on. We have the talent, there’s no doubt there. Just need to find the chemistry we enjoyed at the end of 2017 and the first week of 2018. We find that and we will be Big South Champions

Now we need to continue the undefeated streak at home!
