Nothing fishy about it.. For most who don't know Coach B.. He has had a home in Wilmington before he ever came to UNC Asheville, he spends lots of time there.. He has always said privately that if an opportunity at NC State or Wilmington ever came about that he would have an interest in finishing his career in either place.. The opportunity came about & he has accepted it.. It may seem unusual but it's pretty clear cut from those who know him personally.

He's had great successful at unca the last couple of years. It sucks to have a great coach leave the league. It'll be interesting to see who unca hires.

strange indeed imo. he's just recently getting the program to the higher level finally then he leaves to be an ASSISTANT(!?) at unc WILMINGTON(!?). if it were nc state or a bigger school than uncw it'd be easier to understand.

Hornsby is transferring. He's looking at NC State, LSU, Miami (OH), and St. Mary's (CA).

Unca is going to drop off the face of the Earth without their coach.

Unca is going to drop off the face of the Earth without their coach. I don't know if they'll just disappear. With having an elite level stadium, and a recent series of NCAA Tournament success, they should be able to get a good coach and solid recruiting.

They have a great arena. But Eddie B is a great coach and a great person the couple times I've met him.

Unca spends nothing in athletics and relied heavily of his connections to land the big money games to advance the program. Stability gone, money gone, and top players gone.
