I saw that too. I read an ESPN article that said there are two conference that never had a player drafted on day 1 of the draft. One of those conferences is the Big South.

nice, thanks for that info mj heres an article mentioning Art as a person to watch for next year sports.espn.go.com/ncb/columns/story?columnist=oneil_dana&id=4268369P is for Artsiom Parakhouski. A selection on the all-name squad, the Radford big man also returns to school as the reigning Big South Player of the Year. He averaged 16.2 points per game, and with Seth Curry bolting the league for Duke, Parakhouski could help Radford to back-to-back NCAA appearances.

All I know of in terms of NBA and Big South is a couple Winthrop guys have made it into NBA camps only to be cut. This would be Big South history should Big Art be draft worthy. For that to happen he needs to have a complete year and solid games other big men...another trip back to the NCAA tourny would give him a bunch of good pub as well.

How about we thank him for chucking up as many worthless shots as he did last year. Even with him I would have Liberty fighting for a 3 seed behind us and Winthrop.

As it stands right now, Art has moved up from 16 to 14, and as of right now, he'd go to the Knicks.
Not a bad situation for playing time, especially since David Lee is a budding superstar and probably won't stay in NY long.
Obviously it won't end up that way, but the pick he's projected at is the Knicks, it's fun to picture things.
