RU Wins, Hokies Win, Dukies? Not winning as I type. Hope the fire department and police are ready in College Park if the Turtles pull this one out.

After games, I like to come read the game thread to see what you guys have to say about the team, and I've got to tell you...YOU GUYS KILL ME sometimes! You'd think we were 2-14 in the league instead of BIG SOUTH REGULAR SEASON CHAMPS! ;D
Allow me to make a couple of observations:
The stream: Not sure why it wasn't working. We have no control over the technical aspects of that thing. All we can do is pass the info along that it wasn't working. I'll do that.
The crowd: I thought the crowd was decent tonight. Maybe not loud, but there were butts in the seats. You all realize that there's been some student backlash towards the decision to close Dedmon to non-athletes, right? It was evident during the last homestand that the students were staying away on purpose. Saturday is Homecoming and Liberty. It will be full.
Freethrows: Although KT had a rough day, the team still shot 70% from the line tonight. I'll take that on most nights, especially with how often we can get to the line.
McEachin: I think they kept him out in the second half as a precaution. He was walking around fine after the game, no limp or ice. I asked him straight out if he was OK and he said he was fine.
The game: Practically meaningless for RU. Practically a Tournament game for HP. We were flat and HP wasn't and it was all perfectly predictable and expected. Nine straight. 14 out of our last 15. Lead the conference in scoring margin, FG%, FG% defense and rebounding. That is the perfect recipe for success.
Nick Barbour: Barbour is getting my vote for Freshman of the Year. He was terrific tonight. If Eugene Harris had shot less and passed to Barbour more, the outcome might have been different.
Stay positive, guys. Things are pretty good right now.

How many fanpages actually get their own media guys writing in? This has to be the best one going! Thanks Klep, and thanks for being fantastic all around.

Klep, agree with every point. Winning inserts this wave in winners brain that you're expected to be perfect.
1) the stream worked fine for most of us after a little hiccup. We all listened and enjoyed the call great job as always.
2) the crowd will be there this saturday. And I will be there next Saturday for the Big South Championship.
3) FT's ... we've gotten better recently and i have faith we'll continue to get better.
4) McWorld is a superhuman and will be fine. Remember he isn't a ROBOT!
5) As we both can agree on, it was human nature for our team to have a bit of a letdown b/c everything they worked for - as far as regular season goes - has been accomplished. Now, if they make the tourney, they can look back and this could help with seeding that's for sure.
6) NB is a heckuva player. It's a shame he's only a frosh.
Let's beat up on Liberty (especially as they are down) and take care of buisness AT HOME in the big south tourney.

It is pretty awesome that you come on here, read our posts, and respond to them. I hope we don't sound too negative. Missing free throws just drives me insane!
Next time you talk to Coach please tell him thanks for turning this program around in such a short time frame. We all truly appreciate it and are ecstatic with the teams success this season. We just don't want it to end, thats all.
Didn't realize there was any back lash from the students about closing Dedmon, but closing Dedmon to the students is the right thing to do. You think Duke lets its students play basketball in Cameron? I remember when I was a student I would play on our floor. The more I think about the more asinine it sounds.
Thanks again Klep, keep up the good work and I look forward to hearing your call on Saturday.
GO RU!!!

Glad to see us pull that one out last night. I listened to the broadcast over the web. Had we lost to HP we could have ended up in the play in game rather than a possible 14(stretch?) or 15 seed assuming we win out. I heard the Flames have a key injury at PG(?). Anyone know his status, especially for our Saturday game?
